Hi Everyone,

We're almost through Winter. Here in California, Winter is really not that bad, but I am glad warmer weather is right around the corner. I like spending time outside and Springtime is probably my favorite time of year. The Masters is fun to watch, and it's great to dust off the clubs and get out the to the course.

Over the next few weeks, I expect the weather to continue to improve. The course already looks good. With all the rain, it is very green for the winter, and as the weather warms, it will continue to improve. If you haven't been out to Rancho Sierra in awhile, come out and say hi to Shirley, Tracy, Rick, Pedro and the rest of the staff. And drop me a message at taiken@ranchosierragolf.com with any suggestions, comments, or anything else on your mind.

News From the Clubhouse

Well earlier this month, once again Punxsutawney Phil has seen his shadow signalling another 6 weeks of winter. After the last week of temps being as high as 70 and golfers wearing shorts I wonder if he is correct. But then the weather keeps changing. We have seen the weather go from cold to almost hot in a matter of days so golfers just remember to dress in layers so you are comfortable but not so much that you can't move.

A congratulations to our two Polar Golf tournament winners Gerald Webb for our monthly member and James Tona for our regular golfer, both of them received a free month of golf for Feb. They should be Pros now for as much golfing that they got in last month.
Now is the time to start booking your tournament for this year, whether it is a birthday, wedding, anniversary or just a group of players wanting to get together to golf. We have many different prices and plans and we will try and accommodate just about any size or special event that you are considering.

Starting March 1st Twilight will start at 2:00 and super twilight will be 4:00.

We have been having a misunderstanding about monthlies playing on Holidays if you have a 7 day (Prime) monthly card you can play on holidays if it is only a 5 day monthly card. I'm afraid not. You can always upgrade any time during the month.

Hope everyone is getting out and golfing in between all the Olympic sports on TV.

What did everyone think of Tiger Woods speech on TV?

Last, but not least if anyone has any ideas on improvements, tournaments or any thing interesting items you would like to see in the pro shop please come in and talk to Tracy, Megan, Adam or myself Shirley we are always open to new suggestions about the course. We hope to see all of you out golfing in between the days of rain, wind and light snow flakes.

Shirley
